In fact, it’s been more than a year since I posted anything to my DeviantArt account --– blog, artwork or otherwise. There has been so much going on in my life and I feel like I'm just now getting settled into a place where I am tapping back into my creativity and wanting to be more productive. In the time since I last posted here I have moved to New Orleans. I actually moved down here in August 2007 and it’s honestly taken me this long to feel settled into my new home.

Living here has been a dream of mine for most of my life. When I first read Anne Rice telling of this lush and magical place with purple skies fragranced with gardenia and magnolia blossoms I was transfixed. I made my first treck south in 1998 and nine years later I have finally made this my home. For anyone who has a dream like mine… a dream that nags at you day and night, fills your thoughts and seeps into everything from the way you decorate your house to the things you draw, paint, write, etc. I have some advice. Chase that dream… when you catch it, it is worth everything you sacrificed for it. Trust me on this one!
